”My name is Andrey Korablin, and since 2006, I’ve been involved in the recycling and sale of metallurgical waste. I started within one country—Russia. Then we began exporting from Russia. Now we no longer export from Russia, but we have operated in 35 countries around the world, and we continue working in many of them.
There’s no official data, but I believe we may be the only company in the world trading waste globally. Typically, companies sell their waste within the country where it’s processed or to neighbouring countries. We’ve learned how to sell it worldwide.
Today, my company consists of just 10 people. Yet, we’re competing with industry giants like Harsco and Befesa. Of course, we’re no threat to them, but we’re carving out our own projects, standing shoulder to shoulder with these titans.”
